The Michael James Organisation will auction a deluxe suite in the four-star Colosseum Luxury Hotel at Century City on Friday, 24 July.

Situated adjacent to Ratanga Junction and the wetland sanctuary Intaka Island, and overlooking Century City and Durbanville Hills, the Colosseum is considered to be one of Cape Town’s finest urban luxury hotels, says the auction house’s Paula Voges.

“The ultra-modern and sophisticated hotel has many facilities and services to offer, including 24-hour room service, babysitting, laundry and dry cleaning.

The elegant suite that will be auctioned is a sectional-title residential apartment that forms part of the Colosseum Luxury Hotel’s rental pool scheme, she adds. “The new owner will be entitled to a 29 percent share of the room revenue and will have the use of the room for 28 days per year.” 

The unit on offer - Section 517 - has an extent of 41m² and comprises a lounge, kitchenette and bedroom with en-suite bathroom.

The suite may be viewed between 10am and noon on Wednesday, 22 July, and will be auctioned at 11.15am on Friday, 24 July, in The Boardroom at The Colosseum, corner Century Way and Century Boulevard, Century City.

The terms and conditions of the auction include a 10 percent deposit plus commission on the fall of the hammer, with the balance payable on transfer.

“Prospective buyers are required to bring their FICA documents – a copy of their identity document and proof of residence – to register to bid at the auction,” says Voges. “Bidders must complete their auction registration by 11am as the auction will commence at 11.15am sharp.”
