Two Strand beachfront apartments on offer in deceased estate auction

The auction house’s Paula Voges says the apartments in Peninsula Bay have a unique position in that the beachfront block shares premises with the Ocean Breeze hotel and the Ocean Basket restaurant.
The block also offers stunning sea and mountain views, security and a communal swimming pool for residents’ use.
The apartments on offer - Units 16 and 40 - will be sold separately, says Voges.
Unit 16, which is accessed from Door 117 in the block, measures 37m² and is an open-plan studio unit with a kitchenette, a bathroom and a balcony that overlooks the sea.
The second unit is slightly bigger, with a floor area of 45m², and comprises one bedroom, a bathroom, an open-plan living area with kitchenette, and a balcony with stunning sea views, she says. Voges adds that the apartment is accessed from Door 310.
Units 16 and 40 will be auctioned on their respective sites at Peninsula Bay, 43 Haarlem Street, Strand, at 11.15am on Wednesday, 6 August. The properties may be viewed between 2pm and 4pm on Sunday, 3 August.

The terms and conditions of the auction include a 10 percent deposit on the fall of the hammer, with the balance payable on transfer. Voges says the purchaser will also be liable for outstanding rates and levies. A copy of each bidder’s identity document and proof of residence will be required for auction registration.
